Designer homes need that extra touch of luxury and distinction to ensure the project outcome is simply breathtaking. This Station St Residence certainly meets this brief with customised joinery adding essential focal elements to the overall aesthetic while staying true to the importance of functionality.
The bespoke interior joinery needed a personalised approach to enhance the home's architectural attributes. The plywood birch cladding finished in lime was installed with express joints over the high ceiling to provide an excellent focal point to the space while adding textural depth and enhancing the interesting architectural angles. This is important because focal points on high ceilings allow the room to feel grounded while showcasing the elegance of height.
The use of wooden features throughout the abode provides visual balance while adding warmth to the area. In addition, customised perforated mesh balustrade panels, powder coated in white, alongside solid timber handrails finished in Bona Mega (Matt) on the staircase add a new dimension to the design of the area. The perforated mesh allows the space to remain open and adds to the flow of the corridor, preventing a boxed-in feel.
This cohesive finish continues through the entire home, offering a light, bright space with a hint of warmth. The bathroom and sitting areas also contain elements of customisation in timber features which allows the tailored joinery to shine throughout the entire home, whether you are pulling up a chair to soak up the view and a daily dose of sun, or washing the day's worries away in a beautifully designed and balanced bathroom.
An architectural delight, this project required special attention to detail to allow the entire project to shine. Custom joinery and features complement the space allowing the house to become a memorable designer home.
